Meanwhile, Cousino never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against Roseville as they made off with an 18-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six matches by 12 runs or more so far this season.
Payton Hewitt and Davi Wieczorek were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hewitt pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cousino hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive contests.
Cousino's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Brandon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
