Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northwest). They were the clear victor by a 76-54 margin over the Baker Buffaloes on Thursday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Baker, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will welcome Bunkie at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Baker, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on GEO Next Generation at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
