Pinecrest Academy let Cooper Chupp and Charles Dodson run wild. Chupp went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Dodson got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Chupp a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam McCavitt, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Pinecrest Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skipstone Academy only posted an OBP of .350.
Pinecrest Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Skipstone Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
