Last Tuesday, Groveton was the victim of a rough 65-42 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Groveton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1399th, while the Tigers are ranked 631st).
Meanwhile, Latexo suffered a rough 78-54 defeat at the hands of the Tigers on Friday. Latexo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Groveton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Latexo, their loss dropped their record down to 11-19.
