Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, John Carroll's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were the victim of a rough 44-22 loss at the hands of Gerstell Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points John Carroll has scored all season.
Edgewood has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for John Carroll, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.
