Chincoteague has gone 9-1 against Northampton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Ponies will take on the Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Chincoteague and eight for Northampton.

Wicomico hit Chincoteague with a five-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Ponies fell just short of the Indians by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Ponies have lost by just one run.

Chincoteague saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Daisy, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Daisy has hit this season. Another was Brice Luck, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Northampton's offense. They came up short against Arcadia on Thursday, falling 11-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Yellowjackets were not able to get on the board.

Chincoteague's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Northampton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Chincoteague has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Northampton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Chincoteague beat Northampton 16-12 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ponies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
