Drew Tenet looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aidan Brady, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mak Heino, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Eastern is still undefeated this season after their match against Rancocas Valley on Wednesday, but Rancocas Valley came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Vikings came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Red Devils. Ten seems to be a good number for the Vikings as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Eastern's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Shawnee, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
