The Hudson Blue Hawks can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 73-24 win over Cairo-Durham. While fans of Hudson might be used to big wins, the 49-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Hudson found their leader in underclassman Malia Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Jackson has scored at least a third of Hudson's points. Moriah Walker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 22 rebounds.
The win (which was Hudson's third in a row) raised their record to 10-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Cairo-Durham, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Hudson will head out on the road to face off against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cairo-Durham, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cats at 6:30 p.m.
