The Kenosha Tremper Trojans lost against the Franklin Sabers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Kenosha Tremper took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin. While losing is never fun, Kenosha Tremper can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Franklin is ranked 99th).
It was another big night for Lauren Capstran, who scored 26 points along with seven steals and six rebounds for Franklin. The game was Capstran's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Boyland, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Kenosha Tremper and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for Franklin, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Kenosha Tremper will be home for the holidays to greet Racine Case at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Creek will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
