Baseball Recap: Rustburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Liberty on Tuesday, Rustburg came back down to earth. The Red Devils fell just short of the Glass Hilltoppers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

The defeat snapped Rustburg's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record. As for Glass, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
