It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Jay County Patriots can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 37-36 to the Huskies. Jay County's loss signaled the end of their 20-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Jay County still got an impressive performance from Molly Muhlenkamp, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Denton, who scored six points.
It was another big night for Camryn Runner, who scored 28 points for Hamilton Heights. Runner hasn't dropped below 17 points for 24 straight games.
Jay County's defeat dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Hamilton Heights, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 23-2.
Jay County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hamilton Heights and the Warriors will face off at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Woodlan is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
