Upper St. Clair gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Friday. They put the hurt on the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils with a sharp  42-22 win. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row dating back to last season.
 Upper St. Clair's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Dante Coury, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Another passer making a difference was  Ethan Hellmann, who rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown.
 Hellmann wasn't the only one working in the  rushing yards department: Upper St. Clair was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 239  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 151  rushing yards in six consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upper St. Clair is headed away from home for the first time to  square off against  Canon-McMillan  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Mt. Lebanon, they will challenge Penn-Trafford at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
