Despite the loss, North Mac had strong showings from Kevin Bricker, who gained 120 total yards and a touchdown, and Kadin Casey, who gained 131 total yards and a touchdown. Casey was even better on defense, forcing one fumble and making 11 total tackles.
Meanwhile, Pana entered their tilt with Staunton/Bunker Hill on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Bulldogs, posting a 62-20 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-14.
A big part of Pana's victory came down to the chemistry between Parker Moore and his top target Cash Lynch. Moore threw for 236 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes while Lynch gained 137 total yards and three touchdowns. Lynch's longest reception was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Another big playmaker for Pana was Derrek Ambrose, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Pana, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ambrose, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
North Mac's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pana, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
North Mac was taken down by Pana 51-24 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
