R.W. Goines Stem Academy were the 61-57 winner over the iSchool of Lewisville Cougar when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. R.W. Goines Stem Academy fell 64-52 to the Cougar on Saturday. R.W. Goines Stem Academy's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Leading iSchool of Lewisville to victory were Ashton Taylor-Franklyn and David Iweze. Taylor-Franklyn dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Iweze almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Iweze hasn't dropped below 21 points for three straight games. Kal-El McNeilly was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
R.W. Goines Stem Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-11 record this season. As for iSchool of Lewisville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-10.
R.W. Goines Stem Academy and the will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Universal Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for iSchool of Lewisville, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dynamic Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 308 points over their last four games.
