The Meadows School Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over Sports Leadership & Management. Winning may never get old, but The Meadows School sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
The Meadows School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tessa Lalanne, who scored 18 points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Lalanne posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Alexa Carambas, who scored 12 points.
Sports Leadership & Management's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tavara Swonger, who scored ten points along with five steals. Swonger has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Dennise Fleming was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
The Meadows School's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas the next time they take the court. The Meadows School will head out to face Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Sports Leadership & Management will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
