Carson has gone a perfect 9-0 against Rancho Dominguez recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Colts will take on the Lobos at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carson has three straight wins, Rancho Dominguez has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Carson barely beat Banning the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Colts were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Pilots on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Isabella Campos tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Ashannalee Titialii was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ruby Grajeda, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Carson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .455 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Rancho Dominguez's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to San Pedro, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Rancho Dominguez's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Carson, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Carson got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Rancho Dominguez by a conclusive 19-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
