After flying high against Merino  last Saturday, Dayspring Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles fell  14-8 to the Akron Rams on Saturday. The Eagles have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
  Jace Curtis produced another solid  performance rushing for 62 yards and one  TD, while also picking up 62 receiving yards and one  touchdown for Akron. Curtis also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  forcing one fumble, making eight total tackles,  and defending two passes.
Dayspring Christian Academy's  loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Akron, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dayspring Christian Academy will  challenge  rival Haxtun  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Eagles 13.5, the Fightin' Bulldogs 10.6) so any  points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Akron is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Sedgwick County  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
