After losing to the Blessed Trinity Titans the last time they met, the Lassiter Trojans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Lassiter came out on top against Blessed Trinity by a score of 42-33 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lassiter.
Among those leading the charge was Kenzie Wyman, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lassiter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Cain, who scored 3 points along with 9 rebounds.
Lassiter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Blessed Trinity, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lassiter will challenge North Springs at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Springs comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Blessed Trinity, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Pius X Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Pius X Catholic is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
