Troy won the last time they faced Thrall, and Jayden Lucky did his part to make sure it happened again. The Trojans put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 44-20 victory on Friday thanks in part to Lucky, who rushed for 142 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 80 receiving yards and one score. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 135 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Owen Smith, who picked up 90 receiving yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 73 yards.

Troy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nick Basile and Grayson Sommerfeld. Another thorn in Thrall's side was Elijah Valdez, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The win got Troy back to even at 2-2. As for Thrall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Troy will look to defend their home field on Friday against Maypearl at 7:30 p.m. As for Thrall, they will challenge Johnson City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
