Brevard has gone a perfect 10-0 against East Henderson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Brevard Blue Devils are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the East Henderson Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Brevard knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully East Henderson likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, Brevard made easy work of North Henderson and carried off a 17-1 win. Fans of the Blue Devils have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Emma Bailey made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, Claire Wilson was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Ava Rogers was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Brevard hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for East Henderson's offense. They lost 10-0 to Brevard on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brevard pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for East Henderson, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Brevard has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like East Henderson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Brevard took their win against East Henderson when the teams last played on Monday by a conclusive 10-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brevard since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
