The MacArthur Generals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Champaign Central by a score of 75-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
MacArthur's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Khylee Carson led the charge by scoring six points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Casey Jackson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
MacArthur pushed their record up to 11-16 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Champaign Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.
MacArthur will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Rockets at 12:30 p.m. Champaign Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. Urbana has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
