The Taylorsville Warriors had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Hunter 68-50. For Taylorsville, this counts as revenge for the 49-43 defeat the Wolverines walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 12th.
Ella Wolfgramm was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double on 29 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Jenna Sterzer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Hunter's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Grace Gallagher, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Kalysa Ng who scored 21 points along with four steals. Gallagher has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Naia Makakona, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Taylorsville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Hunter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Kearns the next time they take the court. Hunter will head out to face Kearns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Taylorsville will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
