Basketball Recap: Coltenn Wagner's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crosspointe Christian Academy over Indiana Christian Academy

After flying high against Colonial Christian last Tuesday, Crosspointe Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers took a 51-36 bruising from the Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Whirlwinds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Coltenn Wagner, who posted 20 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. Wagner has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 15 times he's played. William Yeiter was another key player, putting up nine points.

Sawyer Tipton was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 16 on his way to 25 points and five rebounds for Indiana Christian Academy. Another player making a difference was Seth Plew, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points and six boards.

Crosspointe Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Indiana Christian Academy, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Crosspointe Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-28 victory against Tabernacle Christian on the 28th. As for Indiana Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 49-35 win against Community Baptist Christian on the 25th.
