The Whale Branch Warriors's nine-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Branchville 52-8 on the road. Whale Branch's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Larmore Pryor was a one-man wrecking crew for Whale Branch as she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pryor has scored all season. Zaria Coaxum was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Branchville struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Whale Branch posted eight assists.
Whale Branch's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Branchville, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bamberg-Ehrhardt the next time they take the court. Whale Branch will head out to face Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Branchville will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
