South Elgin lost to Leyden back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Storm came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0.

Camryn Boyd paced South Elgin's offense, picking up eight kills. Boyd got some help from Paige Genke and her 18 assists. Genke was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

South Elgin is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Leyden, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

South Elgin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Rolling Meadows on the 4th. As for Leyden, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Niles North on the 4th.
