The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Williams Valley in their matchups with Marian Catholic: they've now lost four in a row.
Marian Catholic was led to victory by Jesse Rodino and Julius Currie. Rodino dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Currie shot 5-for-10 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds. Rodino is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Jake Tom, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Williams Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Marian Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8.
Williams Valley will take on Tri-Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Williams Valley in Pennsylvania (Tri-Valley is ranked 144th, while Williams Valley is ranked 474th). As for Marian Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Shenandoah Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shenandoah Valley is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
