Destynia Mcgruder and La'Niya Willis certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Mcgruder dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Willis scored eight points along with five assists. Mcgruder hasn't dropped below 11 rebounds for three straight games.
Plainfield South's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Yorkville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.
Plainfield South will be playing at home against Plainfield Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plainfield South is facing Plainfield Central at the right time seeing as Plainfield Central is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Yorkville, they will head out on the road to challenge Plainfield North at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Yorkville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three matchups.
