Episcopal had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the St. John's Mavericks.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-98) Episcopal actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 10-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Macie Chase, who had 13 digs, 11 kills, and five aces. The team also got some help from Olivia Landahl, who had 43 assists and 10 digs.

Episcopal has now won four of their last five games on the road. That gives them a 20-7 record this season. As for St. John's, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's left a mark on their 5-15 record this season.

St. John's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against FBCHA on the 24th.
