A well-balanced attack led Venture Academy over River Islands in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Venture Academy Mustangs blew the River Islands Riptide out of the water with an 89-46 final score. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 36 points or more this season.

Kwasi Moses continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and three steals. Moses is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Josiah Johnson was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Venture Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River Islands only racked up nine assists.

When it comes to explaining why River Islands lost, don't look at Charles Mapanao. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Peter, who put up five points.

Venture Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for River Islands, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.

Venture Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-68 loss against Fortune Early College on the 20th. River Islands has also already played their next game, a 78-47 victory against Millennium on the 20th.
