Centennial has gone a perfect 10-0 against Seguin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Centennial will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Centennial's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Mansfield Summit with a sharp 10-0 win.
Not much got past Kendall Cottongame, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Mansfield Summit off the board.

At the plate, Ava Ellis was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Gabby Saavedra also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Centennial lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Seguin made sure to put some runs up on the board against Everman on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Bulldogs 19-9. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
Izel Lincon was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lincon was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ixchel Lincon, who fired off three triples, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three triples gave her a new career-high. Leyla Flowers was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
Centennial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Seguin, their record is now 9-7.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Centennial hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Seguin struggles in that department as they've averaged .493. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Centennial got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Seguin by a conclusive 17-1 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
