The biggest upset of the week belonged to Prestonwood Christian, who took down 79th ranked Prestonwood Christian, 37-13. William Jones in the win.
Nolan Catholic extended the longest winning streak in TAPPS Division I District 1 this week by beating Liberty Christian, 21-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Trinity Christian's dynamic duo of Daniel Davidson and Nahshon Ellerbe proved tough for Bishop Dunne to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Davidson threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns and Ellerbe had 111 yards receiving. Tanner Snow helped Trinity Christian's passing attack out by catching nine balls for 93 yards.
Camron Cornett was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 77 yards on 12 carries as the Warriors topped the Falcons. Jonaaron Howell also contributed to the rushing game with 23 yards on the ground.
Trinity Christian's Davidson and Brock Thomas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Davidson has thrown for 3085 yards this season, while Thomas, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 48 catches for 807 yards. Grayson Warren from the Lions leads the league in rushing with 1158 yards.
A big matchup in TAPPS Division I District 1 this week will be when Nolan Catholic takes on Bishop Dunne. As it stands, Joe Prudhomme's team is in second, while Ken Davis' team is in sixth.
John Paul II moved up to 812 from 880 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cardinals climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Cathedral 44-10.
