The Rolesville Rams will square off against the Leesville Road Pride at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rolesville is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Athens Drive: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rams blew the Jaguars out of the water with a 74-0 final score. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Rolesville can attribute much of their success to Amir Brown, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns, and Kaleb Williams, who threw for 110 yards and a pair of TDs. Williams' passing game has become a key predictor of the Rams' success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Rolesville proved: they limited Athens Drive to a paltry 0.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Jaden Colson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Rolesville didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.7.
Meanwhile, Leesville Road really took it to Corinth Holders for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-10 win. Given the Pride's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Pirates are ranked 134th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rolesville better keep an eye on Damacio Cueto. He was instrumental in Leesville Road's win, throwing for 343 yards and six touchdowns while completing 79.2% of his passes. Those six passing touchdowns gave Cueto a new career-high. Jayden Lee Perry was Cueto's top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
One reason for the win was Leesville Road's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was Gavin Lennon with three.
Rolesville's record is now 5-3. As for Leesville Road, their record now sits at 6-2.
Everything went Rolesville's way against Leesville Road when the teams last played back in November of 2021, as Rolesville made off with a 47-24 victory. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pride turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
