Adding to the longest winning streak in 275 (8 Man) this week, Stanberry beat West Nodaway 81-25. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
North Nodaway made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 779 from 846. The advance stemmed from a 72-54 victory over Worth County/Northeast Nodaway last week.
Mound City's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Luke Sanders has thrown for 428 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Hayden Marrs has 7 catches for 221 yards. Sanders also leads the league in rushing with 593 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Mound City and Craig/Fairfax. The Panthers enters the game ranked second in the state, while the Hornets ranks 24th.
Stanberry led 275 (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 81 points on the Rockets.
