The Clarkston Angoras's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 80-55 defeat at the hands of Westminster. Clarkston has struggled against Westminster recently, as their game on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Clarkston lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lawerence Reeves. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reeves has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Na'Shaun Porter, who scored seven points along with six assists and two steals.
Clarkston's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-13. As for Westminster, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.
Clarkston will be playing in front of their home fans against Druid Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Druid Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 matchups -- so hopefully Clarkston likes a good challenge. As for Westminster, they will head out on the road to challenge Hapeville Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hapeville Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Westminster is ranked 131st).
