The Churubusco Eagles's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They breezed by Lakeland Christian Academy at home to the tune of 56-20. Churubusco's win was all the more impressive since Lakeland Christian Academy was averaging only 29.4 points allowed on the season.
Churubusco can attribute much of their success to Bridget Timbrook, who scored 10 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Eby, who scored 14 points.
Churubusco's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Churubusco will take on Adams Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Heritage at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Heritage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
