The Eureka Loggers will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Fortuna Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Eureka has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
In what's become a running theme this season, Eureka gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 82-41 win over Del Norte at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Eureka has posted since December 15, 2023.
Eureka found their leader in underclassman Prince Latimer, who scored 21 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Latimer has scored all season. Jahmil Rippy was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Fortuna unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of McKinleyville.
Eureka's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-10. As for Fortuna, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9.
Eureka beat Fortuna 56-47 in their previous matchup on January 9th. Does Eureka have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fortuna turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
