The Churchill Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wootton. Churchill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Jaiden Aze, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds for Wootton. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aze has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Yassine Idrissa, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Churchill now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Wootton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
Churchill will head out on the road to take on the Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Whitman's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 contests. As for Wootton, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m.
