The Eastern Musketeers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Scottsburg Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastern is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
Even though Eastern had not done well against Salem historically (they were 0-8 over their previous eight matchups), they didn't let that get them down on Friday. Eastern pulled ahead with a 22-21 photo finish over Salem.
Brayden Jones was his usual excellent self, rushing for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Jones is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing seven points in their last match, Scottsburg made sure to put some points up on the board against Mitchell on Friday. Scottsburg put a hurting on Mitchell at home to the tune of 56-6. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-6.
Among those leading the charge was Langdon Holbrook, who picked up 135 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Eastern's win pushed their record up to 3-4, while Scottsburg's bumped their own up to the opposite: 4-3.
Eastern came up short against Scottsburg in their previous meeting last October, falling 28-20. Will Eastern have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the game or check back on MaxPreps to find out.
