The Potomac Falls Panthers put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 65-33 victory over John Champe. Potomac Falls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six games by 23 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Potomac Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Johnny Opiola, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Opiola hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Margenau, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Potomac Falls' victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for John Champe, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potomac Falls will square off against Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Heritage comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for John Champe, they will head out on the road to face off against Lightridge at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
