Lavaca has gone a perfect 4-0 against County Line recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Golden Arrows will welcome the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Lavaca is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Lavaca took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Mansfield.

Meanwhile, County Line came up short against Greenland on Tuesday and fell 9-6. The Indians have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Virginia Besier was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off 12 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
In other batting news, Tavilynn Fortenberry was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Katelynn Sarten, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Lavaca's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for County Line, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Everything went Lavaca's way against County Line in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Lavaca made off with a 10-2 win. Will the Golden Arrows repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
