Lincoln East is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Papillion-LaVista get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Troy Peltz was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Millard South faced Millard West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots skirted past the Wildcats 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since April 23rd.
Millard South also got a great performance from Noah Carroll as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Carroll has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Millard South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Appuhn, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Appuhn has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Millard South is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season. As for Lincoln East, their victory bumped their record up to 30-3.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lincoln East has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. However, it's not like Millard South struggles in that department as they've averaged .459. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
