Covenant Day's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Walker Olshefski, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Olshefski posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Michael Marcus Jr., who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Covenant Day's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Charlotte Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Day will play host again and welcome Cannon, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cannon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 2,054 points over their last 27 games. As for Charlotte Christian, they will be playing at home against Charlotte Country Day School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Charlotte Country Day School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Charlotte Christian in North Carolina (Charlotte Country Day School is ranked 70th, while Charlotte Christian is ranked 320th).
