While Abby Daniewicz delivered a dominant effort on Thursday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Montville. Daniewicz was dynamite, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Daniewicz and Montville will square off against Wheeler at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves are a perfect 4-0 against the Lions going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
