In what's become a running theme this season, the Poteet Pirates gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Spruce 60-33 on the road. The win was nothing new for Poteet as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Despite the loss, Spruce still got an impressive performance from Mesoulay Williams, who scored 13 points. Taniah Williams was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Poteet pushed their record up to 19-11 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Spruce, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Poteet will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Conrad at 6:00 p.m. Conrad will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1239th, while Poteet is ranked 440th). As for Spruce, they will head out on the road to square off against Seagoville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
