Vanguard had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Crystal River Pirates on Wednesday. Considering the Knights have won 14 matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Crystal River with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ashlyn Wan (3), Ruby Scott, and Kendal Davis.

Vanguard is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up seven goals over those 15 games. As for Crystal River, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1.
