Jeremiah Kavanah made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Geneva let Trenton Johnson and Tyson Hilliard run wild. Johnson scored three runs while going 3-for-4, while Hilliard went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The dominant performance gave Hilliard a new career-high in RBI. Wyatt Strokes was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Geneva always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Orlando Christian Prep only posted an OBP of .355.
Meanwhile, Holy Cross Lutheran Academy scored the most runs they've had this season last Monday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Crooms Academy, falling 16-1.
Carlos Otero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Geneva pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Holy Cross Lutheran Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Geneva has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .477. It's a different story for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, though, as they've only averaged .122. Will they be able to contain Geneva's hitters?
