If the Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders were feeling good off their 86-59 takedown of Wilson Area last Tuesday, that ride came to an abrupt end. Notre Dame-Green Pond found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 82-60 punch to the gut against the Southern Lehigh Spartans on Tuesday. The result was an unfortunate reminder to the Crusaders of the 66-50 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head last December.
The loss dropped Notre Dame-Green Pond's record to 12-10. The victory improved Southern Lehigh's record to 15-4.
Notre Dame-Green Pond will take on Parkland next week. The odds don't look promising for Notre Dame-Green Pond, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall. Southern Lehigh will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bangor. Bangor is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 54-41 win over Moravian Academy on Tuesday.
