There's no place like home for the Sequoia Charter Stallions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 21-8 win over BASIS - Peoria on Tuesday.
Sequoia Charter was led to victory by Jack Roehl and Asher Roehl. Roehl scored eight points, while Roehl scored seven points along with six rebounds. Roehl continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Sequoia Charter's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for BASIS - Peoria, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Sequoia Charter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against El Dorado at 5:00 p.m. on January 17th. El Dorado presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sequoia Charter in Arizona (El Dorado is ranked 78th, while Sequoia Charter is ranked 241st). As for BASIS - Peoria, they will head out on the road to square off against Maricopa Institute of Technology at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
