The Franklin Road Christian Minutemen were the  18-17 winner over the Christian Community Colts when they last played one another  back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Franklin Road Christian fell  39-30 to Christian Community on Monday. Franklin Road Christian has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second  defeat in a row.
 Franklin Road Christian lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Gracie  Tidwell, who  scored six points along with 12  rebounds and three  steals. Tidwell has been hot recently, having posted eight or more  rebounds the last nine times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Presley Applegate, who  scored eight points along with six  rebounds and four  steals.
 Even though they lost, Franklin Road Christian  were smashing the offensive glass and  finished the game with 16  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Community only pulled down eight  offensive rebounds.
 Christian Community can attribute much of their success to  M.J. Dodd, who  scored six points along with nine  rebounds and four  steals. That's the first time this season that  Dodd  pulled down eight or more   rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Alexis Myers, who  scored nine points.
 Franklin Road Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Christian Community, their victory was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-8.
 Franklin Road Christian won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Pleasant View Christian at 6:00  p.m.  on January 9th. Hopefully Pleasant View Christian focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 25 back in December of 2023. Christian Community's road trip will continue as they head out to face Varsity Opponent at 11:40  p.m.  on January 11th.
