The Lititz Christian Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 69-12 victory over Varsity Opponent. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Lititz Christian has managed all season.
Lititz Christian can attribute much of their success to Donnie Rogers, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jackson Antes was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Lititz Christian's win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1. As for Varsity Opponent, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 145-540-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lititz Christian will challenge Veritas Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against Tome at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Tome focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
